Tane's Leafs in white and green Matching mittens

Tane’s Leafs is a hat in two-colour knitting. It is inspired by Tane Mahuta, the god of the forest in the mythology of the New Zealand Maoris. The pattern unites a simple leaf design with the traditional maori symbol, the spiral, which symbolizes life and the turning of life.

The pattern has previosly only been avaliable as a kit, but now I am happy to be able to offer it as a download (also for people outside Ravelry) through the link below. The pattern also contains instructions for a matching set of fingerless gloves.
