Noget af sensommersyningen gik med at lave bukser til drengene. Det er jo sådan en hyggelig aktivitet. Det var første gang, jeg syede bukser til LB, og jeg bestemte, at jeg ville lave et brødresæt, med matchende bukser til både MM og LB.

I’ve sewn several pants this early fall, it is such a relaxing activity, and I like making clothes for the boys. This time, I wanted to make a pair of matching pants for both MM and LB.

LBs blev færdige først, og han har brugt dem en del gange. Jeg brugte smækbuksemønsteret fra “Børnetøj, du selv kan sy 0-4 år” af Elsebeth Gynther, men valgte blot at lave dem til almindelige bukser med elastik i livet.

I finished LB’s pants first, and he’s used them quite a lot. I used a pattern for long pants (of the sort that goes up the chest and is fastened with buttons over the shoulder) from my old book of children’s clothes, but I chose to shorten them to be a normal pair with elastic waistband.

MMs bukser er det sædvanlige Minikrea posebuksmønster, men denne gang i str. 116 (som han dog vokser). Jeg har syet kantebånd rundt om lommernes kanter, som en fin lille detalje. Begge bukser er allerede flittigt brugt, og jeg må indrømme, at jeg synes det er vældig hyggeligt, når de sådan har matchende bukser på.

MM’s pants are made from my usual Minikrea baggy pants pattern, but this time I chose a bigger size (I keep wondering at the rate with which he grows). I edged the pockets with a gingam binding, which I thinks gives the pants a really neat look. Both boys have worn the pants several times, and I must admit that I think it’s rather sweet, when they have matching pants.
