Ulla and I have made plans for a little sew-along. Both of us wanted to make an “I spy” for our kids, so we thought why not see if there are others, who would like to sew along with us here in the land of the blogs. If you would like to join us, leave a comment on this post, and I will keep track of the troops. Deadline isn’t a word used frequently by either of us with regard to craft, but a goal is probably to have them finished sometime during the fall. My own semi-official mission is to finish the quilt by November.

My, or rather MM’s, version of “I spy” will feature machines, super heroes, space crafts, and other good things to talk about according to the recident almost-4-year-old. My task is then to try to assure that the final look is calm enough to last him a bit longer than the current machine-obsessed age. If not, I guess the little brother will have a new old quilt at that time. In any case, I’ve collected a good pile of fabric and have plans to cut it during this weekend.

The picture is a close up of LB’s “I spy” quilt with an animal theme. Or rather, it’s a close up of the quilt top, since I’ve still not managed to figure out what to do for a backing. Oh well, I guess it won’t be this weekend either, but somehow, sometime it will get done.
