It is possible to knit many hours during a day… if you knit during nighttime too. I did that this Friday, as I had a shawl on a tight deadline… I simply needed to finish it. I did, but the clock was nearing 3 am before I got to bed. Luckily the shawl turned out rather perfect, and the recipient was happy when she unwrapped it a bit later that day.
Mønster/Pattern: Gail aka Nightsong (Ravelry link)
Garn/Yarn: Malabrigo Lace (Red Java), 47 g
Pinde/Needles: 3.25 mm
God eller grel/Hot or not? / It is really nice. Not that big, but rather a sort of scarf sized shawl (a shawlette, I guess). Another time I think I’ll try to remember the madness that is lace knitting on a tight schedule. On the other hand I’m always amazed at the transformation that happens when you block such a piece of knitting… it is simply bewitching.

Karen,
I do not even have the words to describe how beautiful your shawl is. I do not think I have ever seen such a more beautiful and delicate pattern. The recipient is one very special lady.
