I’ll stay in the category “old knits”. I’ve had this little baby cardigan lying almost finished for several years. I can see in my notes that I knit it back in October 2009, so it’s an oldie. But I didn’t really have anyone to give it to, which meant that I never got around to sewing in buttons, but just let it stay in the (almost) finished items box. Now however, one of my dear friends have just given birth to a dream child. She has been expected for many a long year, and thus she really needed to be welcomed with handknit love. Thus I went for a dive in my fo box and refound the jacked. Luckily I had just gotten all those beautiful fabric buttons, which solved my button problem very neatly. It is even more perfect since most of the fabric on those five buttons were bought at the mother’s fabric store.
