I have regained my knitting mojo after the failure of the cardigan (it hasn’t yet found a new home, but I know it will, and I have decided not to be bothered by it anymore). I am going to finish another thing on my list tonight and the temptation to cast on a new project has recently started letting itself be known again.

It doesn’t help my attempt at monogamous knitting to have bought the newest book by Annette Danielsen, “Strik en Stund” (the Danish titles translates into “Knit a Moment”). Phew, there are many gorgeous things in that book. As usual there are a lot of pretty and sometimes quirky things in the book. I bought it in Sommerfuglen this Thursday and got it singed by AD herself. Unfortunately I was too busy (or possibly too star struck) to stay and chat.

Of the 17 projects in the book, 15 are sweaters/cardigans, 1 is a hat/scarf set and 1 is a double knitted scarf. A rather good haul, I’d say. As a matter of cause I only buy knitting related books if they either inspire me (new techniques, stitchs patterns or such) or if there are at least 2-3 things that I can see myself knit immediately. This book is definetely a winner, I have already bought new yarn for 3 projects in it, and have at least as many more in my inner que.

The first one to be cast on will be Syren (Ravelry link), a light and feminin cardigan. It suits my clothes style (and me), or so I think. It will probably also be a hit on the medium cold days at work.

The next in line is probably Overblik (Ravelry link). Something about those cables are speaking to me, and saying “knit me!!!”. Besides, I know that cables keep me entertained, so it should be quickish.

There are some doubts in my mind regarding priority number three. Perhaps a Morgenstund (Ravelry link) or perhaps Nostalgi (Ravelry link). Morgenstund is a vest which has potential for being used in many different situations, and furthermore it looks like a rather simple knit (good for tv-knitting). Nostalgi is just purely beautiful! The cables and the fit and the many little details are all gorgeous and fun to knit, but it is also a more consuming knit (there are no diagrams for the cables either) and it is knitted in seperate parts = seaming. Oh well, there will be time enough to decide.

Derudover er der flere ting der frister, men ovenstående fire projekter er nok dem, der trækker mest i mig.

There are many more patterns that tempt me, but the four mentioned above are probably the ones that tempt me the most.
