I have been looking forward to this week with an excitement that is hard to convey. I have given myself a huge luxury, which is to take a weeks vacation from my fulltime job … to work for myself and my firm as a knitwear designer. For the longest time, I have wanted to give myself some more time to focus on designing, and all the other things that follow, but it is a hard task balancing that wish with the rest of my commitments in the measly 24 hours someone has decided is a day.
I didn’t get the perfect start on the week, as my computer chose to rebel and deny all access to any and all files gave me hell on earth a couple of problems. Fixing this took a couple of hours and a rather long call to a support person (who is now my favorite person on this planet, as I now have glorious access to all files again). Problem solved, so now the only question is whether I can keep myself busy all week long. But I rather suspect the answer is yes, as there is a lot of knitting that needs doing, and a lot of yarn that’s tempting me – for example a rather glorious pile of Pernilla from Filcolana. I am looking forward to seeing, what I can get done this week (and that hopefully includes a couple of blog posts).
