Searching for a good location…

Dagens udflugt er gået med at lede efter mulige steder at fotografere strik i nærområdet. Når man er på jagt efter en god location, får man blik for selv en helt almindelig mur på en anden måde. Gode fotograferingssteder har brug for at have en interessant baggrund, men må samtidig ikke være for rodet eller forstyrrende. Jeg synes, at det ofte er en af de sværeste dele af at tage gode billeder af strik.

One of today’s tasks was a little tour to search for possible photo locations nearby. When hunting for such grounds, even a simple wall starts to look different someway. A good location needs to have an interesting, yet calm background. I often think that is one of the more difficult parts of taking good pictures of knitting.

Jeg havde selvfølgelig lidt strik med, som jeg kunne tage et par prøvebilleder og se, hvordan det eventuelt kunne bruges. Både Trelisa cardiganen og Gullfoss tæppet kunne godt trænge til et nyt billede eller to, så det var hyggeligt at lege lidt med dem. Men det blev kun til leg i dag. Den store fototur venter jeg med til på fredag (hvor jeg så til gengæld virkelig krydser fingre for at det bliver nogenlunde tørt…).

I obviously had a couple of samples with me, so I could test out the locations with a couple of pictures to see how it worked. Both the Trelisa cardigan and the Gullfoss blanket could need a new picture or two, so I enjoyed playing around with them a bit. But I didn’t get further than a wee bit of play. The big session will have to wait until Friday (where I sincerely hope that the weather plays along and stays dry…).
