I’m going to the TEX-stil trade show in Vejle this weekend. It is a show for yarn and fabric shops, but for me it’s a half-yearly opportunity to socialize with a lot of people from the knitting world. I’m really looking forward to it. Another reason to be excited is that there always are new things to see and be inspired by. And also because I have a new design for Filcolana, which will be at their stand. It is a great pleasure to be able to present Spectra. The pattern for this blanket is available as a free download from Filcolana’s home page, if there are other blanket enthusiasts out there.

At Eastertime I wasn’t quite so thrilled, but that may have been a result of me hustling to finish before the deadline (hint: it’s rather bit and thus takes a lot of time to knit, even if it is an easy knit). I never got to take any pictures of the finished blanket, so I’m really happy with Nanna’s beautiful pictures.

The blanket is knit with Peruvian Highland Wool using 36 colours + the grey for the edge. It is meant as a tribute to the brilliant colour card, which Filcolana has in most yarns. It is actually quite an easy knit. Half of the blanket is worked in small sections, so it’s an easy project take with you – at least some of the time. As I sit here looking at the pictures (and don’t have a deadline looming) I’ll admit to having a rather intense urge to make one on smaller needles in Arwetta Classic… tempting
