futfut blog

I have forgotten to show that I actually did manage to finish the second train sweater, so Filcolana also has one for the fall collection. I’ll admit that I had a hard time finishing within my own deadline.

Now everything is coming together. The pattern has been written (and proofed), and translated to English. So I’m guessing it might not be too long before “Futfut” will be up on Filcolana’s webpage. I’m really hoping to see a lot of happy kids with train sweaters this fall.

In the meantime, I can announce that LB has ordered his next sweater – a whale sweater – and that it must be finished for Christmas (“so I can wear it for Christmas Eve, mommy”).

… I won’t make it. At least not before my deadline tomorrow. Even though I really tried putting in a last effort sprint, I have to realize that this train jumper won’t be handed over for my original deadline tomorrow (the picture above was taken at 11.15 pm). Luckily, Nanna has been kind enough to give me leave to hand it over later (thanks you!).

But what then about the little contest? Well, I’ve decided to give away 2 prizes. One for Christine, who had the latest finishing time guess (tonight between 1 and 2 o’clock), and one for a random selected comment. The Random number generator choose the number 6, which is Line’s guess that I’d finish tonight at 10 pm. I’ve e-mailed both of you.

Well, thanks for playing along – to all of you – and for your support and cheering. It turned out that this deadline was too hard, but that’s how life plays it from time to time, and at least it’s “just” knitting.
